Quechua Folding Camping Table 4 Stools Green is a portable dining set for a drive-in campsite, not furniture for a backpacking trip. The exact green model 8950620 was listed at RM299 by Decathlon Malaysia on 21 October 2026. One purchase provides a folding 120 x 60cm table and four folding stools that pack beneath its top. The useful question is not simply whether it folds: it is whether that complete seating arrangement fits your car, your campers and the way you actually eat outdoors.
Know which green table set you are ordering
This article concerns the Quechua Folding Camping Table 4 Stools Green, model 8950620, item 5570852, EAN 3608393073822. Decathlon describes the colours as ivory white and light green. Check those identifiers because the catalogue also contains other green table sets and tables sold without stools. This is a single retail set with four seats; “4 to 6 people” describes the table’s potential capacity, not six included seats.
The current Malaysian original gives a price of RM299 for this exact item, with no item-level discount shown. That is a verified offer, not a nationwide price survey or a claim that it is the cheapest available. The storefront availability service returned372 units nationally for this exact item, with user delivery available. Availability can change, and a national stock result does not reserve the set or establish delivery to a particular Kuching postcode.
Our assessment uses the manufacturer’s specifications and catalogue photographs. We have not camped with this set, measured wobble on grass or tested how long the hinges last. In particular, the useful load limits below are manufacturer limits, not loads we applied ourselves. This distinction keeps an apparently convenient family purchase from becoming an unsupported durability promise.
Pros: four seats travel inside one folding package
The strongest reason to buy is organisation. Instead of finding a place for a table and four unrelated stools, the seats store below the tabletop before the table folds. Two carry handles are provided. For a household loading a car with cooking equipment, food and sleeping gear, keeping the dining pieces together can reduce forgotten items. It does not remove the weight of those pieces or mean a child should carry the whole set.
The table offers two stated heights, 45cm and 70cm. That creates a choice between a lower setup and a more conventional dining height, but there is no verified continuous adjustment between those positions. Decide which height works with the supplied stools and the people using them before ordering. The 120 x 60cm top is a clear footprint to measure against your shelter; allow additional room around it for people getting in and out.
Decathlon specifies a laminated tabletop, an aluminium frame with reinforcements and steel legs. Its description mentions two hooks that keep the table open. During setup, make sure the relevant supports and locking points are properly engaged rather than judging readiness from a level-looking tabletop. The surface should be supported on suitable ground. We have no evidence that the set has independent levelling feet for a sloping pitch.
Cons: a six-person claim is not six-person comfort
Four stools are included, so a fifth or sixth person needs an additional seat. More importantly, six place settings, shared dishes and a cooking station compete for the same 120 x 60cm surface. For four people eating a simple meal, the layout is easier to plan. For six adults wanting generous elbow room and several serving platters, treat “up to six” as an upper accommodation claim rather than spacious dining.
The specified maximum table load is 50kg and the maximum user weight per stool is 110kg. Those are separate limits: a person’s weight allowance on a stool is not permission to sit on the tabletop. Do not use it as a step, bench or platform for somebody climbing. A buyer needing back support should also note that these are stools, not chairs with backrests or armrests. The catalogue does not establish their seat height or prove that every adult will find them comfortable for a long evening.
Portability needs a careful reading. The benefit text says 8.7kg for the total set, while the exact item data lists 8.1kg. The folded-size description gives 60 x 60 x 10.5cm, while a structured thickness field lists 10cm. We have not weighed or measured a unit to resolve those differences. Plan using the larger stated envelope and ask the seller to confirm the boxed dimensions and actual supplied weight if a tight boot slot or carrying limit determines the purchase.
Malaysia rain, storage and repair expectations
This is occasional outdoor camping furniture, not something the manufacturer says to leave permanently in the garden. Decathlon warns that prolonged ultraviolet exposure or moisture over several weeks can damage it. In a humid Malaysian home, a covered balcony is not automatically dry storage. Put the set away in a clean, dry place after use, and do not stack heavy objects on the folded table. A permanent uncovered patio setup is the wrong job for it.
The product identifies the board material as MDF and calls the top laminated. Neither description is a promise that exposed edges, joints or hardware can tolerate prolonged rain. We would not buy it as a weatherproof outdoor workbench or place a hot stove directly on it without separate manufacturer guidance. The verified documentation does not give a heat-resistance rating, an open-flame clearance or food-contact approval for preparing ingredients directly on the surface.
Repair information names patch 8788176 and replacement tabletop 8842020, with instructions pointing to the French Decathlon site. That shows a documented repair route exists in the wider catalogue; it does not prove either part is stocked in Malaysia or available for this buyer’s postcode. Ask local support about compatibility, cost and ordering before relying on repairability as the main reason to choose the set.
Warranty and the real delivered cost
Confirm the applicable Malaysian warranty with Decathlon for model 8950620 before paying. The original structured guarantee field contains the number 2 without a unit, so this review does not turn that field into a verified local two-year promise. Ask about manufacturing defects, damage exclusions, proof of purchase, inspection arrangements and return transport. Routine wear, misuse and weather damage should not be assumed to be covered.
For East Malaysia, compare the RM299 product price with the actual delivery quotation to your address. We have not verified free Sarawak shipping, a local pickup location or an arrival date. A bulky package can be awkward to return even when it folds, so retain the packing until you have checked that all four stools, table supports and locking points are present and undamaged. Seller confirmation matters more than an advertised voucher that has not been applied to this order.
Who should buy, who should avoid, and our verdict
Buy this set if four people need a coordinated car-camping dining arrangement, you have space for the folded square package and stools suit the users. Its value at RM299 is the integrated table-and-four-seat packing system and two working heights. A practical buyer should first sketch the table plus seated people inside the shelter and check the folded envelope against the loaded car, not an empty boot.
Avoid it if your trip involves substantial walking with all equipment, you require supportive chairs, any stool user exceeds the stated limit or you want permanent rain-exposed furniture. We would also pause if an exact weight is essential and the seller cannot clarify the 8.1/8.7kg discrepancy. Our verdict is a conditional recommendation for four-person drive-in camping: useful as a complete dining kit, but not a lightweight carry system or a comfortable six-seat outdoor dining room.
